Partner
Paal Wilsgaard
Experienced entrepreneur with a global network of partners in the offshore, renewables and maritime sectors, having established and managed businesses across Asia Pacific, China and the Middle East over two decades. Founder of MXR Equipment, a Singapore-based offshore equipment rental platform. Co-founded Modex Energy Rentals in 2011 and led its global expansion through to its exit.

Per Ingar Amlie
Co-founded Modex Energy Rentals alongside Paal in 2011. Vice President at Centurion Group from 2017 to 2022, running business entities across South East Asia and Australia. Long-standing offshore-services operator and investor, with experience in manufacturing in China and in taking rental companies from start-up to global market players. Wide network across the energy, minerals and renewables markets.

Managing Partner & Founder, Investigate VC
Mikael Krogh
Started Investigate VC’s 1st fund in Dec 2017.
Worked on the investment side incl. operational roles in a few of the startups. Started as an equity analyst in one of Norway’s largest funds, Postbanken Verdipapirfond. Then shifted over to more private/VC focused investment companies. Came to Singapore in 2010 to build a Corporate VC, BW Ventures, for Mr Andreas Sohmen-Pao.

Jeff Ewen
Energy professional with extensive experience since 1995. Joined energy PE firm SCF Partners in 2015, focusing on investment opportunities and supporting portfolio companies in Asia Pacific. Serves on the boards of Shelf Subsea Pte and Contract Resources Pty. Previously acquired Cranesafe, later purchased by Forum Oilfield Technologies, and held VP roles at Forum focused on global growth. Gained international experience with Varco UK in Africa, Russia and Europe, specialising in offshore rig packages.

Hans van der Vlugt
Twenty years in investment banking focused on energy services and shipping. Previously operating partner at Landmark Capital, a PE fund, Senior VP at NIBC Bank in Singapore, and roles at Pareto Securities and DVB Bank across the Netherlands, Brazil, London and Singapore. Holds CIMA, VRC and AICD accreditations. Began his career as a Merchant Navy officer and engineer.
